"Carob Chip Dog Treats"

I've tried a lot of store bought "treats". Yuck!! After several years of eating, tasting, and searching, I finally found a delicious recipe for nutritious treats that will most definitely get your tail a waggin'. Enjoy!

Love,
   Cody

Ingredients:

1 Egg
1 Tbs vegetable oil
3/4 Cup water
1/2 Cup corn meal
3 Cups whole wheat flour
1/4 Cup chopped non-dairy carob chips*

*Can be found in health food stores. DO NOT substitute with real chocolate. Must use CAROB only!

Baking Directions:

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix egg and vegetable oil in bowl. Add water.
Fold in cornmeal, and flour.
Add carob chips. Mix for about one minute. The dough should be pliable, but not wet.
Roll dough in 1/8" sheet.
Cut using your favorite cookie cutter and place on an uncoated cookie sheet.
Bake at
350 degrees for 1 hour. Let stand for at least 4 hours.
This yields approximately 1 pound of Barkin' Good Carob Chip Treats for your favorite friend!
